Such a winter wonderland
A world made white with snow.
All of God’s Creation
Transformed within its glow.
The hush and stillness in the air
Can creep within your soul.
The peace that comes with such a calm
Not often do we know.
The ever falling stars of snow,
Noses pressed against the pane.
Excited children beg to know
How much snow is in the lane.
And such a change it is to see
These woods so dressed in white
Like a thousand lighted candles
Burning strong throughout this night.
Thus quietly a hopefulness
Is born within my self:
Perhaps the good and beautiful
Can win above all else.
